Welcome to the Cooper’s
Creek Sportsmen web site. The mission of our organization is to provide
outdoor recreational opportunities for young people. Our mission
statement is:
To teach, develop interests, and
provide outdoor recreational opportunities such as hunting,
fishing, and shooting for all ages; while promoting and conserving the wise
use of our natural resources.
Another aspect of this organization is
to assist the Department of
Natural Resources the U.S. Forest
Service in accomplishing wildlife management goals on USFS lands
including Cooper’s Creek Wildlife Management Area.
We are a tax exempt organization and
accept donations from individuals and businesses. Fund raisers
include bass tournaments, t-shirt sales, fish and chicken dinners.
We meet the first Monday of each month
at the Union County Civic Center. Anyone who shares an interest in
providing our youth with outdoor experiences is welcome to attend these
meetings. See event calendar for meeting changes.
Cooper’s Creek Sportsmen currently
sponsors the annual Cooper’s Creek Adult/Child Hunt and the Youth
Outdoor Adventure Day. Future activities will include fishing, archery,
and camping opportunities in cooperation with the
Union County Recreation Department.
